These Terms of Service govern your use of Doctorz, operated by Doctorz. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Doctorz is a technology platform that connects patients with independent, BMDC-registered doctors for chamber visits and video consultations, and supports digital prescriptions and follow-ups. Doctorz is not a hospital, clinic or healthcare provider and does not practise medicine. The treating doctor is solely responsible for the medical advice, diagnosis and prescription they provide. You must be able to enter into a binding agreement under the laws of Bangladesh. Patients under 18 may use the service only under the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these terms on their behalf.
You agree to provide accurate information, keep your login secure, and not let others use your account. You are responsible for activity under your account. Doctors must provide truthful registration and qualification details, which we verify against BMDC records.
Doctors set their own consultation fees, shown before you book. Doctorz charges a Platform Fee (currently 0% of the consultation fee) for use of the platform. Applicable fees and any payment-gateway charges are shown at checkout. Payments are handled through our licensed payment partners.
Eligible credits (for example, when a doctor cancels) are returned to your Doctorz wallet, which you can reuse or withdraw. Doctor and patient withdrawals are processed within about 3 working days. Full details are on the Payment, Payout & Platform Fee page, and refunds are covered in Refund & Cancellation.
Video consultations follow the BMDC Telemedicine Guidelines and are intended for patients located in Bangladesh. By using them you accept the recorded consent described in our Patient Terms & Telemedicine Consent.
Prescriptions are issued by your doctor and stored for you digitally. You may remove a prescription from your view; doctors may remove theirs, but you always keep your own copy. Removed items go to a trash window before permanent deletion, as described in Data Retention & Deletion.
You agree not to misuse the platform — see the Acceptable Use policy. We may suspend accounts that break these rules.
Doctors who list on Doctorz also agree to the Doctor Agreement, which covers verification, profile moderation, fees, payouts and removal of unverified accounts.
The Doctorz name, software, design and content belong to Doctorz and may not be copied or reused without permission. Content you submit remains yours, but you grant us the limited rights needed to operate the service.
The platform is provided on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by law, Doctorz is not liable for the medical decisions of doctors or for losses outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Consumers’ Rights Protection Act 2009 or other mandatory law.
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or misuse. If we discontinue the service, we will give at least 3 months’ notice where reasonably possible.
We may update these terms; the current version is always published here, and continued use means you accept the changes.
These terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, and any dispute is subject to the courts of Dhaka.
